Mariel Manuel is a Swiss fashion designer and artist.
Growing up traveling to various places, Mariel was introduced to diverse cultures from a young age. With a taste for exploration, she explores the art of garment-making and design like she would paint a painting. Using textile as her medium, she gives life to singular pieces that hold a personal story.
Sensitive to the environment and modes of production, she offers limited-run, one-of-a-kind pieces to keep a lifetime. She works closely in collaboration with skilled artisans across India, offering original prints and embroideries.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, she has worked for more than a decade for renowned fashion brands. She now works as a creative design consultant and has designed costumes for opera and cinema.
